All goes well initially. Renting an apartment in Metta, a rundown Khmer Rouge-era housing complex, her visit to her maternal relatives finds her welcomed with open arms. But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present. Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.

月球

馮遠征,蔡鴻翔,劉交心,李冰冰這是一部取材于真人真事的現代警匪片，影片塑造了一個真實可信、可敬可親的當代人民警察的光輝形象。彭寶林——1987年退伍，后任惠陽縣工商銀行經濟警察，1991年主動要求調入惠陽縣老街派出所任民警。彭寶林在工作中時時處處嚴于律己，愛護群眾。1993年5月14日，在執行任務中，彭寶林突遇藏匿的通緝犯香港黑社會頭目區耀煌。悍匪脅迫人質，持槍拒捕，彭寶林不顧自己身負重傷，與頑匪展開激戰，并將悍匪擊斃。而彭寶林最終因搶救無效，壯烈殉職，他以自己的青春熱血為當代人民警察樹立了光輝的榜樣。中華人民共和國公安部追授彭寶林全國一級英雄模范稱號。該片獲得1994年中國電影華表獎優秀故事片獎；1995年第15屆金雞獎最佳故事片獎。
