影片改編自林秀赫同名短篇小說(shuō)。講述諭明與依庭相遇于大學(xué)圖書館里的深度安靜區(qū)，兩人相愛(ài)并走入婚姻，正期待迎接第一個(gè)孩子。然而，依庭的意外自殺讓諭明陷入混亂與痛苦。他想起依庭在懷孕后變得異常，甚至提出離婚。自責(zé)的諭明照顧起依庭的家人，透過(guò)深入了解她的家庭后，開(kāi)始理解她的行徑，以及她無(wú)法面對(duì)自己父親的原因，真相卻讓人難以接受。

　　In a small rural community local police officers Zoe and Patrick begin their shift as normal but it soon becomes clear that something is wrong. Strange events unfold before their eyes, residents begin behaving strangely and mass suicide panic spreads amongst the community they are trying to protect. Zoe and Patrick realise they are under siege from alien machines as they become cut off from the outside world. They are forced to do battle against these uninvited visitors. With the help of some of the residents Zoe and Patrick begin unravelling the mystery and soon discover it is not all as it seems. 　　Joseph Fulton, a well-regarded fifty-eight-year-old director of romantic comedies, wants to become assistant groundskeeper at a local cemetery. He wants to work outdoors and be close to nature. Meanwhile, he thinks it’s important to have his last will and testament drawn up. But his highly dramatic actress girlfriend thinks he must be dying and that he is just too brave to tell anyone. The rumor spreads and soon everyone he knows—and some he doesn’t—are crowded into his small apartment to say their last farewells.
