《無伴奏》根據小池真理子的同名小說改編，講述1969年，學運熱潮蔓延日本各大學，也是改變高中生響子人生的一艾旦影視。她參與廢除制服運動，沉浸在哲學與詩歌裡。有天，她在名為「無伴奏」的咖啡館裡遇見大學生阿涉，被他神祕又憂鬱的氣質吸引，兩人迅速墜入愛河。他們與阿涉的好友右之介和艾瑪，成天窩在專屬的小屋討論文學和音樂，浸淫在文藝的美好中。直到某夜，響子在小屋撞見令人震撼的一幕，也看見了愛情與理想的虛無本質。
