The duo become a trio as well-to-do Lou joins them, and life on the island takes shape under the command of devout Matron. The trio rail against the system, dubious of the benevolence of the bible and taking refuge in their blossoming friendship. It’s hard to reform girls who don’t believe they need reforming. However, a sense of doom settles in when experimental forms of punishment take place in the dead of night. Nellie and Daisy plot rebellion, but unexpectedly find themselves at odds with Lou, who is afraid to break the rules.

　　The film tells the story of how, in post-war Spain, Narcisa (played by Aria Bedmar), a novice with supernatural powers, arrives at a former convent, now a school for girls, to become a teacher. As the days go by, the strange events and increasingly disturbing situations that torment her will eventually lead her to uncover the terrible web of secrets that surround the convent and haunt its inhabitants.

 20世紀(jì)70年代初的北京，忙著“鬧革命”大人無空理會(huì)小孩，加上學(xué)校停課無事可做，以軍隊(duì)大院男孩為突出代表的少年人便自找樂子，靠起哄、打架、鬧事、拍婆子等方式揮霍過量的荷爾蒙。馬小軍（夏雨 飾）就是這樣的少年，他的嗜好之一是趁別人家無人用萬能鑰匙將其鎖打開，溜進(jìn)去耍玩一番，正是用這樣的方式，少女米蘭（寧靜 飾）的照片先于其人入了馬小軍的雙眼。通過院里的“頭兒”劉憶苦（耿樂 飾），馬小軍又見到之前在炮局偶然瞥見過一眼的米蘭，開始正式將其當(dāng)作夢(mèng)中情人，然而在米蘭眼中，馬小軍不過是毛孩一個(gè)，她中意的人是成熟、穩(wěn)重、帥氣的劉憶苦。自此，馬小軍迎來五味混雜的青春期生活。本片改編自王朔短篇小說《動(dòng)物兇猛》。夏雨憑此片獲得第51屆威尼斯國(guó)際電影節(jié)最佳男演員（銀獅獎(jiǎng)）。
