秘蜜の情事 遠野千夏

　　2014年，阿根廷圖庫曼省；一名年輕女性因劇烈腹痛入院，當時她并不知道自己已有身孕。醒來時，她發現自己被手銬銬在輪床上，周圍全是警察。她被指控自行墮胎，在拘留兩年后，因加重殺人罪被判處八年監禁。　　圖庫曼省的一位女律師將為她的自由而戰，數千名女性與眾多組織紛紛聲援，她們團結起來，試圖改變歷史的走向。

 盛夏的度假時節，一位城市女人來到鄉下滯留，這期間，城市女人誘惑了當地的農夫并教唆他殺死自己的妻子（Janet Gaynor 飾）以便販賣掉農莊后私奔。被迷惑了心竅的男人早已忘記了那些同妻子共處的純美時光，他將妻子帶到河面蓄謀加害，卻在要下毒手時幡然悔悟，傷心的妻子踏上了進城的列車，男人窮追不舍一同抵達城市。城市里真正是一片花花世界呵，這對夫妻在街上游走玩樂，在那些小小的玩笑中，甜蜜的冒險中，他們又找回了愛情的美妙共鳴……和好如初的兩人返回鄉村，不料卻在歸途遇上了肆虐的風浪……本片是德國導演茂瑙赴美發展后拍攝的第一部作品，曾被多家權威媒體評選為默片最佳杰作之一，獲第一屆奧斯卡最佳女演員、攝影等多項褒獎。

　　青年休·麥克艾利斯特（Brandon Kyle Peters 飾）按照未婚妻未婚妻勞瑞·蘇利文（Danielle Lilley 飾）的意愿，在遠離喧囂都市的僻靜角落買了一座數十款長的大房子。喬遷當日，勞瑞對新房子既滿意又驚奇，稍后沒多久，馬克（Jose Miguel Vasquez 飾）、安柏（Emily Cutting 飾）、肯尼斯（Christopher de Padua 飾）等朋友驅車前來，準備為小兩口開一個盛大的喬遷派對。馬可他們百無聊賴，四處閑逛，結果強行進入一個無人居住的舊房子。青年男女百無禁忌，四處閑逛，根本不知自己已經惹到了什么。夜幕降臨，喜歡熱鬧的男女們紛紛云集到休的新居，大開狂歡派對。喜歡肯尼斯的女孩獨自落寞地再次來到那棟空房子，誰知卻被隱藏在這里的恐怖之人殘忍殺害。　　那邊廂狂歡無度，這邊廂血腥殺戮的閘門緩緩開啟……

　　Set in an underground dungeon inhabited by bundled, ragged human beings, after the nuclear holocaust. The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart.　　Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory?　　n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in.　　What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts.　　On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired.　　One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places.　　Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.
