Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.  1947年春，蔣匪對我山東、陜北根據地發動重點進攻，毛澤東（張克瑤 飾）運籌帷幄，作出戰略撤出延安的決定，用中央機關“昆侖縱隊”牽制胡宗南（王振江 飾）主力。彭德懷（雷飛 飾）打響蟠龍戰役，生擒敵旅長，繳獲頗豐。毛澤東審時度勢，令山東陳、粟部打響萊蕪戰役、孟良崮戰役，殲敵數萬，重創了蔣軍主力。國統區“反饑餓、反內戰”呼聲日漸高漲，蔣介石下令鎮壓，并令胡宗南務必殲滅“昆侖縱隊”，胡的努力一次次落空。毛澤東主持召開的小河口會議為我軍戰略反攻奠定了理論基礎，彭德懷在沙家店殲滅敵三十六師，劉鄧大軍挺進大別山，其他各野戰軍也都轉入戰略反攻。雪后的五臺山上，毛澤東感慨地說：最多兩年，我們就可飲馬長江，直搗南京......
