 該片是押井守參與制作的一部動畫電影。獲2002年斯圖加特國際動畫電影節最佳長篇獎，獲2001年日本文化廳文化廳MEDIA藝術祭動畫大賞。1966年秋天，越南戰爭期間，在日本國內的美國空軍橫田基地內，不時可見F4幻影戰斗機頻繁起降，空氣中充斥著一股殺戮的氣氛；就在此時，基地附近的市區連續發生了離奇的命案。 地下鐵，銀座線，正駛著通往淺草的最后一班列車，一名少女出現在空蕩的車廂內，她擁有令大人感到刺眼的眼神，緊閉著雙存欲訴說她內心的真正意念，她的名字叫小夜(SAYA)；她是“組織”為了打倒潛伏于人類社會里的吸血鬼“翼手”，因而派遣至人類社會的救世主。 穿著水手服的小夜，手持日本武士刀作為武器，潛入了基地內的美國學校。一柄冷血無情的武士刀，是她消除邪魔、保護人類的武器。而她身體里這一半的人性，可能就是她打敗敵人的秘訣……

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
